I really loved the vibe at Mekong River--it felt like being transported to a small restaurant in Vietnam. You walk in and seat yourself at a table. The menu isn't big, which I appreciate. I ordered the Cornish hen over fried rice, and wow, that was a great choice. First of all, it comes with a soup of your choice, which turned out to be basically a mini pho. I was only expecting the broth, so that was a nice surprise. The broth was a bit on the sweet side, so keep that in mind if you prefer a different flavor profile--but I thought it was yummy. The main dish came out a little later, as they were short-staffed and running behind. That said, the lone waitress was killing it--serving all the tables by herself--and despite being quite busy, she was gracious and attentive. Now, the Cornish hen was fantastic. The skin was thin but perfectly crispy, and the meat was flavorful. The fried rice wasn't anything special, but it was topped with a fried egg, which I liked. The salad that accompanied the meal was fresh with a hint of sweetness that paired nicely with everything. Oh and as for the Vietnamese coffee, it was just alright. Overall, the meal was generously portioned and very reasonably priced. I'd say Mekong River is one of my top Vietnamese spots in Tulsa!

Great little Viet spot! The food is flavorful and fresh. Portions are large and are very reasonably priced. We came in at 7pm on a Saturday and were told a few of the items we wanted were sold out already. But, then I heard other groups order the same sold out items after us and they were suddenly available. 4 stars for the food issue.

SO GOOD. The fried rice was amazing. The portion was generous and I saved the other half for another time. Their pho was great too!

Best Pho and Vietnamese food in all of Tulsa. I couldn't believe how good it was. The pho broth was so flavorful and perfect. Not too heavy on the star anise which to me makes the best broth and bowl of Pho. You can tell they got the broth down just right. The meats fresh and such a good amount and portion. Can't recommend this place enough! A hidden gem!

first impression is the restaurant decor is dated, which i personally love. it's giving 80's-90's realness with the pastel walls and bathrooms. obviously that's not the main reason anyone stops here. they have to be stopping in for the incredible food they serve. that's just it too. the food is incredible and very fresh. i genuinely loved everything from the broth, to the meat, to the fresh veggies alongside. i also got the spring rolls as my appetizer, which i also enjoyed. the previous complaints of unseasoned food seem to have been taken into consideration since everything i ate tasted amazing and full of flavor. you do have to ask for jalapeños for the soup, but that's not a problem. the girl working was running around, doing the best job at being attentive to each guest and their needs. she definitely deserves a raise for how hard she was working for everyone there. i will be back!

I keep going back. It's good as you can expect from any Vietnamese restaurant. The pho is great. I always ask for extra meat, $1 more is plenty! I hope this place is in business many more years because my wife and I love it. She always gets fried rice

In town for work and had the pho which was delicious. The bowl looks small but man was it packed full of meat and noodles. The both was on point . The only complaint I had the Thai tea was expensive cost as much as an appetizer . Service could be better had to ask to refill my water.

Out in Tulsa for work so ran out to find something to eat. What a find!!!! The food and the service was amazing. What surprised me aside from the amazing flavors in their broth was that the bowl was too small. The pho was loaded was yummy goodness. Lots of meat. Lots of noodles. Lots of flavor. Everything about the place was just amazing. This spot will definitely become a place I return to on my many trips to Tulsa. Amazing!!!

My first time here, so excited. I was in the mood for some good Pho. And thankfully my friend knew where to take me. We were seated right away, and although the place was a little busy, the wait staff did a pretty amazing job in getting our food out pretty promptly. I had my pho with tofu, and it was so delicious! The portions were large, and I-ate-it- ALL! I rolled myself out of there, happy!
